Wagon rides

Spaghetti, wagon rides... all just part of our wonderful life! Ethan is loving preschool, Lincoln got a haircut, and it finally is starting to feel a little like fall here in Virginia. Lee is heading off to Arizona on Tuesday for an entire month to do an orthopedics rotation, we have really enjoyed the 10 days that he has been home. Applications for residency are all sent in, now we just play the waiting game! We feel so blessed to have made it this far. The next couple of months I know are going to fly by. We will miss Lee so bad while he is gone, I am just so lucky that my mom is able to come out and help me! We always love when Ma-Jodi pays a visit!

We were able to meet Trent at the Washington DC temple, it was amazing! It was so fun to see him. He looked great, and seems to be doing well and keeping busy. We were all so excited, the first pic is of the boys running as soon as they spotted Trent coming out of the temple, I think they were both airborn! Lincoln went right to him, and Ethan even fell asleep on his shoulder (we actually found out he was faking, he just didn't want Trent to go)! We were able to spend about 45 minutes with him, it was sad to say goodbye, but we know we will see him at Christmas!

Washington DC Temple

We took a lot of pics at the temple waiting for Trent, the one of Lee and the boys is my favorite!

Baltimore!

  • We took a little family trip up to Baltimore, it was a lot of fun. We went to the National Aquarium, where we saw the Dolphin show. We took the water taxi back and forth from our hotel. Lee and the boys toured a submarine and took a sea-monster paddle-boat around the harbor! It was so great to have Lee to ourselves for a couple of days. Ethan got a toy snake at the aquarium and had to wear it around his neck the rest of the day, he got a lot of comments, and even scared a couple of poor ladies!

Happy Birthday Lincoln!

I can't believe that it has been one year already! I can't even imagine what life would be like if we didn't have little Linc. He just makes us so happy! He is such a lovable little guy. He had a good birthday, the boys and I made cupcakes, and the beautiful cake you see in the picture! In the first pic he is trying to blow on the cupcake although there is no candle! Lincoln is obsessed with shoes! He walks around with them on his hands. Whenever people come over to our house, Linc is quick to notice that our some new ones for him to play with and he'll come around the corner with our guests shoes!

First Day of School!!

Mason started 2nd grade this week, he loves it. He is proud to be the tallest one in the class, and he likes his teacher, and recognizes a lot of familiar faces from last year!

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit and we went to Yorktown, Maymont, and we also went to St. Johns church where they do a reenactment of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speach. We had a lot of fun. The kids got to have a sleepover at the hotel and they got to go swimming, they had a blast!

Here are the boys on Sunday morning, heading for church. Mason's recital went well yesterday, he did a good job. Now we just need to find a new piano teacher since his is headed off to college. Lee is glad to have boards done, he started his ortho rotation today. School starts in one week and the boys are excited! Ethan has a friend in our ward that will be in his class, which will be great for him. It will also be great because I can carpool with his mom!
